Don’t lose sight of your shadow.

The moment I wake up.
I thank God for my life.
I thank God for my children.
I thank God for my family.
I thank God for my loved ones.
I thank God for the people around me.
I thank God for my home.
I thank God for my fur babies.

I thank God for everything.

“Except me”.

I know there is me.
I know I exist.

What I didn’t know is how beautiful I am without the body.

The body that I hate,
the body that I sabotage and criticize.

As I was standing there,
I saw myself.
Not the body.
But the shadow.

I then started to appreciate myself just by looking at the shadow.

I looked and I observed while standing and watching, my shadow blended in with the sun, the wind, the trees and the energies around it.

I felt special and unique.
I felt important and magical.

The shadow does not have a name or feelings.

It is what it is.

The shadow won’t judge me.
The shadow will always be with me.
The shadow will exist when I exist.
The shadow has unlimited power and unconditional energy.

The shadow is me in a parallel world.
The shadow is my reflection, not the person that I see in the mirror.

The more I stayed there with the shadow, the more I realized how beautiful I am from the inside.

My shadow accepted my old self, despite my flaws, my mistakes, my wrong doing, and wrong decisions in life.

My shadow never left my side.

And now, I no longer belong to the old self.
Now that I have loved and forgiven my old self.
Now that I accepted my flaws, and my mistakes were part of my old self and that old self became a lesson learned for me to embrace and embody and love my whole being. Every part of it.

My shadow is still here with me in silence. Always in silence.

My shadow and I. We may be different in so many ways but my shadow and I won’t exist without each other…
